Fashion Show at Zouk KL |
|||||
Before I wirte about the fashion, I'm not that far into comics and figurines ok, JJ. Just wait till you see Jeevan and some of the club members - those fellows are truly beyond salvation. Despite following some anime series, I still want to maintain my almost non-existant life (it'll cease to exist should I reach the level of those guys). Now that I notice it, I read a hell lot of blogs, but I've never really commented in any one of them... Anyway, the Fashion Show was nothing short of superb. You really have to give credit to the SIFE team for being able to put together such a fantastic event. They even managed to invite a number of VIP's over to watch the Fashion Show. Somehow, this year's event seemed way better than last year's. Perhaps it's due to the more spacious venue (Zouk's mainroom compared to the cramped Passion) or the classier clothes (last year's was quite the lala...) or the music (courtesy of our very own DJ Basoonda who's a uni student as well as a professional DJ). A few unfortunate incidents gave the otherwise perfect night a couple of hiccups though. First was the incredibly heavy rain as we left the uni in a bus for KL. Parts of Jln Broga were literally rivers of overflowing teh tarik-coloured floodwaters and the bus we were in was stuck behind a car for at least 15 minutes as the car stalled in the middle of the road. The event was held starting at 8pm and ending at 11.30pm. Many were there for the afterparty (basically, clubbing), especially the foundation and year 1 people who rarely ever get the chance to do so. Mana tau, the entire crowd was chased out of the club for about 15mins - half an hour due to some clean-up and an impending DBKL raid. So for those who aren't 21 this year or don't have any 'jalan' to get back in, that was the end of the night for them. In fact, some got fed up and proceeded to other clubs around like Maison. Jeevan had a jug and a half of Zouk's Long Island Tea whereas I had a jug. Quite worth it for RM60 and it's guaranteed to knock you out. Jeevan was pissed drunk and chucked up quite a bit after the jug and a half. Luckily I was still sober enough to get him on the bus and back home. Other than that, it was a really fun night - first time dancing with pl, kyels, Jeevan, Dylan and Victor. Didn't manage to get kyels drunk...damn. But it was a blast. Pic's will be up after I put up the Melaka pics. Till then, g'nite :)
